Introducing Nourish By Tara

Wow! So I’m finally launching Nourish by Tara and I am excited, extremely humbled, and in somewhat disbelief.  I have been planning and envisioning this for so long and now it’s being put into action.  There are SO many friends and family that have supported me in this journey and helped in summoning up my courage and bravery to make a career move.  Most importantly, they believed in me.  I am forever grateful to them. I still remember when I made up my mind that I would leave public education, teaching math, and the students and co-workers that I loved after 15 years. It was summertime, so I was off work (also coming off Maternity Leave) and I had just gotten off the phone with my career coach (she’s amazing btw!). My husband, Jordan, had stopped home from work to have lunch with me. I excitedly told him my plans and visions for being a Nutritionist. I had just determined that I would basically take my passion for nutrition and self-care, and combine it with my experience as a Math coach to help people feel good - for a living!   It was so thrilling and I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought to do this years ago! I remember saying “it’s so risky though, isn’t it?” And Jordan said, “of course, but anything worth doing is risky.  This is a good move for you.”  His support and encouragement for this huge change was everything to me.  He then left and went back to work.  Right after he left, a package was delivered - I can’t really even remember what it was, I think shoes.  I opened up the package, and the quote on the inside of the box is the picture above (I took a picture right away).  “The biggest risk in life is not risking.”  It took my breath away, but gave me a surge of energy.  I felt this was a sign from the universe telling me I was on the right track, which was exactly what I needed at the time. And here we are!
