How I Got Here….

Just to introduce myself, I’m Tara, Wife, and Mom of two girls and a Golden Retriever

Before having kids (I’m sure many can relate), I felt like super woman and that I had time to do it all! My lifestyle was go go go!

  • Ran 5 days a week

  • Cooked homemade elaborate dinners

  • Scrapbooked my photos

  • Laundry was always caught up

  • House was clean and neat

  • Regularly socialized with friends/family

Then I became a mom…

Total shock to the system!

I tried hard to keep up with my “normal” routine but realized quickly my expectations weren’t sustainable. I cherished my family and loved to take care of them but I felt:

-overwhelmed and overworked

-guilty (especially if I took time for me)

-stressed

-anxious and worried about everything

-exhausted

-stuck and lost

It wasn’t until I struggled to get pregnant for a 2nd time and developed gut issues until I turned for help. Here’s the message I got:

Acupuncturist : “You need to slow down”

Therapist: “You need to slow down”

Homeopathic Doctor : “You need to slow down”

My initial thoughts were - “how do I do that when every time I turn around there is something else to do?” My habits were so deeply rooted that it took 3 specialists and months of hearing those words to make changes ….

I ended up needing IVF for my 2nd daughter; the struggle for her was one of my life lessons. I realized what was truly important and that being healthy meant a balanced lifestyle, nourishing both your mind and your body.

You CAN’T do it all!

You CAN’T serve others on an empty tank!

Fast forward 4 years. While it’s never perfect (what is?), I went from a stressed, and anxious mom of one, with several doctors telling me my busy life was making me sick ——>

to a happy, HEALTHY, and energized mom of two, who now can enjoy living in the present moment.

I’m so grateful for this journey and super excited to say that's what led me to holistic nutrition coaching, so I can help other busy women reclaim their health and energy!
